This is webcam footage of the first set of beans sprouting in my new time-lapse rig. These images are NOT from the primary camera, but from a cheap and cheesy webcam clamped to the side of the stand; the actual footage from the primary camera looks MUCH better than this. This camera has no connection to any of the lighting or timing systems, so it periodically goes dark at night when the grow lights are off. Illustrated here are the first few days of growth as the seeds sprout and begin to unfold their first leaves. After just a few days, the tall one is already at the three-inch mark, while the others are close behind. It won't be long before the leaves grow out to full size, the vines start their characteristic twining behavior, and they start to grow up the yardstick. Later on, I will be posting a video of the beans from the primary camera, with much better lighting and image quality.
